After completing medical school, Dr. Ahn pursued further training and education, completing a Research Fellowship in Transitional Year at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Center of Fetal Research, in 2018. He then went on to complete his residency in Surgery at Albany Medical College in 2020, followed by a Fellowship in Surgery-Colon & Rectal at Stony Brook University Hospital in 2021.
Dr. Ahn's commitment to excellence is further demonstrated by his board certifications in Colon and Rectal Surgery by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery in 2022, as well as in Surgery by the American Board of Surgery in 2021. These certifications reflect his dedication to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and staying abreast of the latest advancements in surgical techniques and practices.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ahn is actively involved in teaching and research. He currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor, where he shares his knowledge and expertise with the next generation of surgeons.
